India, SL out of semi-finals

The defending champions India and Sri Lanka were knocked out from the semi-finals of the Asia Cup Under-19 Cricket Tournament which is now in progress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Bangladesh remained as the only unbeaten team as they qualified to play in the semi-finals with a stunning eight-wicket win over India yesterday.

Meanwhile, Afghanista­n denied Sri Lanka a chance of playing in the semi-finals as they beat the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 134 runs.

The semi-finals will be played on November 16 and 17 at the Kinrara Academy Oval with Bangladesh meeting Nepal and Afghanista­n clashing with Pakistan. The final is slotted to be played on November 19 at the same venue.
