22 wickets fall on day one

U-23 Emerging League Cricket

Amila Aponso (Ragama CC) and Charith Sudaraka (Colts CC) captured seven wickets each as 22 wickets fell on the opening day of the Under-23 Emerging League Cricket Tournament encounter played at the Colts Grounds yesterday.

Colts CC taking first lease of the wicket were shot out for just 69 runs and Ragama CC in reply were restricted to 144 runs.

Colts CC 69 (Amila Aponso 7/27) and 63/2 Ragama CC: 144 (Sachintha Peiris 29, Aravinda Akurugoda 28, Saminda Fernando 20, Charith Sudaraka 7/49).
