Launched for those with a discerning eye for artistic beauty and innovation, the lifestyle store, Radiant Beaux recently launched its collection of dazzling stone carvings in Colombo.

The store located at Stratford Avenue in Colombo 6 stands out amongst the other established lifestyle stores in the area, through its eye-catching artworks of stone, that make one-stop, stare and be captivated by their beauty and at the same time appreciate how something so enchanting can be transformed by simple sources of nature.

The all-white collection of stone showcased is made of natural materials such as sandstone, limestone and sedimentary rocks that are gathered from around Asia. These stones have been carved, and shaped by artisans to unveil the hidden wonders of mother nature to bring a mesmerizing dictionary of design and artworks to beautify the living spaces of homes, hotels and gardens and marks a new chapter in Sri Lanka’s interior decor experience.

A delightful amalgamation of art and beauty greets you on entering the store premises. This treasure trove of various contemporary elements in stone, sported some pieces of special significance that included round standing Monstera Moziac’s handcrafted limestone with ulin wood frames, Mozaic with frangifani tree with stand in limestone with ulin wood frame that stood 12 feet tall that was more than 500 kilogrammes in weight and a dragon fly wall hanging made with copper and ulin wood frame.

The other classy pieces on display were handcrafted grey stone Balinese pots, greenstone water fountains and limestone Tabung Garden lanterns and bird baths, all of which give a serene and timeless beauty to the spaces on which it is displayed.

Radiant Beaux is a concept and idea put together by three well-known entrepreneurs, Daminda Mulgama, Ranga Balasuriya and Tharaka Dharmapriya, who come from diverse backgrounds. Mulgama is General Manager, Business Development for Expo Lanka Freight, whilst Ranga is an entrepreneur and the visionary and founder of Glory Swim Shop. Tharaka is an expert in construction and civil engineering with over two decades of experience in the trade, handling projects in both Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Providing an insight into their business concept Mulgama said: “Our core philosophy has been to sustain and evolve materials from nature into tangible luxury in all our creations. We wanted to inspire and excite people in a way that leads them to enjoy the beauty of creations made by nature as much as we do.”

Balasuriya commented: “The response from the trade has been overwhelming by both the residential and commercial sectors. Top architects and interior decorators have seen a rise in the demand for neutral color palettes and linear cuts coupled with bold contemporary designs and our products offer all of these elements. We believe that our products give a refreshingly different look from the present designs available in the market.”

Dharmapriya added: “Stone has been a mainstay of design and our collection represents beautiful natural products that are hardwearing, long lasting, naturally resilient and are distinctly beautiful to live with.”

Bringing in design innovations that celebrate the beauty and abundance of nature while offering rare and contemporary decor for inside and outside the home, Radiant Beaux looks set to revolutionize the industry, with their exciting array of products showcasing the ageless charm of stone while preserving the simplicity of modern minimalism.
