TO BE NAMED VEN. MADULUWAWE SOBITHA THERA FLYOVER

-

The Rajagiriya flyover was inaugurated by President Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and it is expected to ease the traffic congestion that severely inconvenienced the pedestrians and motorists.

The flyover was earlier expected to be opened at the end of this year but the President had instructed the contractor to finish the job as early as possible to prevent hardship to road users. “This is another development project expedited by the yahapalana government for the benefit of the people. The people of this country gave me a mandate to end corruption, thuggery, state-sponsored violence, the suppression of the media and the judiciary and restore democracy. We not only fulfilled our pledges but reinstated the dignity, self respect and credibility among the global community,” the President said.
