Browns Pharmaceuticals launches 100PLUS isotonic drink in Sri Lanka

-

The 100PLUS isotonic drink, which is the No. 1 isotonic drink in Singapore, Malaysia and Myanmar, was launched in Sri Lanka this week.

This launch was accomplished through a successful partnership with Fraser & Neave (F&N Foods Pte Ltd), Singapore’s prominent beverage company that manufactures and distributes 100PLUS abroad and will now be solely distributed and marketed by Browns Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a subsidiary of Brown & Company PLC.

The 100PLUS was named to commemorate the milestone of its parent company, F&N’S, for its 100th anniversary. It is an isotonic drink that possesses electrolytes and special minerals that replenishes the body much faster than water after an active day or energy that is lost during exercise or intense physical exertion. It’ll give you the kick you need. It also has the same amount of sodium in a single can of 100PLUS equivalent to a boiled egg.

The chief guest for the evening, Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara, a fitness fanatic, according to him, explained how imperative it is for people of Sri Lankan to remain physically and mentally fit for productivity and positive results. The consumption of 100PLUS will help with the revitalizing of your exhausted body and soul.

F&N Foods Singapore International Business Unit Head Shirley L. said, “We want to portray the product as an active lifestyle product and can be drunk anytime besides sports.”

It’s not only targeted for fitness enthusiasts and sportsmen but also for active working professionals, who try to manage their busy careers and regime.

There is a void in the market for isotonic beverages, which 100PLUS, together with Browns Pharmaceuticals, is seizing the opportunity to capture and score a home run. Since being physically fit and health consciousness in Sri Lanka are on the rise, 100PLUS was launched with perfect timing to accommodate the market.

Director General Health and Medicine Lakshman Edirisinghe said it belonged to a group of supplements. He further explained that it was a supplement in liquid form and people shouldn’t get confused as it simply helps in functions the human body already performs but it shouldn’t be consumed in unreasonable quantities.

Browns Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Deputy Chairman Mangala Wijesinghe commented, “Browns, with a heritage of 142 years in business, has catered to the public by bringing in globally renowned brands. Now we are pleased to partner with F&N, to introduce one of its flagship consumer brands – 100PLUS. With this partnership, we hope to invigorate and empower human lives,” who is also looking forward to further expanding distribution of 100PLUS.

This isotonic drink now comes in four flavours: 100PLUS original, orange, lime lemon and berry.
