-

Lavanka Property Developers won the Shramabhimanee Business Excellence Award 2017 at the recently concluded ceremony held at the BMICH.

This award ceremony is organised once a year to reward business and social community who serve the betterment of the country. “To give into the adage that the customer is always right is not enough, it is a must to make the customer happy and content,” is the fervent belief of the 2017 Shramabhimanee Award and winner in land development business, Lavanka Property Developers (Pvt.) Ltd, a medium-scale enterprise from the suburb of Colombo, Homagama.

A good-humouredly amicable person, S.A.D.D. Harshanath launched this land sales enterprise Lavanka Property Developers (Pvt.) Ltd, with just Rs.40,000. His keenness for effecting sales is always sharpened by the dictum: “Always keep your customer happy and content!”

Speed Land (Pvt.) Ltd, a leading company in the real estate sector in Sri Lanka, launched its three latest housing development projects under the ‘Speed City’ concept at Kurunegala recently.

While one of the projects has been undertaken at Werahera in close proximity to the Kurunegala town, the two others have been launched at Maspotha and Mahakeliya bordering the main Kurunegala-puttalam road, respectively.

Expressing his views on the launch of the three newest housing development projects, Speed Land (Pvt.) Ltd Managing Director Nishantha Delgoda said: “Our maiden housing development project got off the ground under the name ‘Speed City’ at Kottawa. As there was an overwhelming response from customers, this project proved to be a tremendous success. We have decided to expand the ‘Speed City’ concept embarked on by Speed Land (Pvt.) Ltd to major towns outside Colombo. In keeping with this objective, we have now spread out to Kurunegala as a first step.”

Elaborating on the Kurunegala-wehera project launched by Speed Land (Pvt.) Ltd, Delgoda added: “Kurunegala-wehera is an area similar to Cinnamon Gardens in Colombo 07. Situated close to the Kurunegala town, Wehera is a peaceful area with an unspoilt natural environment ideally suited for middle and upper class families to make their home. They can realise their dream of acquiring a plot of land to build a house in this serene environment by joining hands with our company’s ‘Speed City’ initiative. There are 40 plots of land of 10 perches each available at this site.”

Expressing his thoughts on the Kurunegala Maspotha and Mahakeliya housing development project launched by Speed Land (Pvt.) Ltd, the company’s General Manager Idunil Wedamulla said: “There is a significant number of young men and women holding executive grade positions in the private and government sectors in the Wayamba (North Western) province. It is their dream to build a house of their own and reside in an area close to the Kurunegala town. We launched the Maspotha and Mahakeliya ‘Speed City’ project to make their dream come true.”

“These two housing development projects are situated in tranquil localities facing the main Kurunegalaputtalam road. From these sites, a person can reach Kurunegala within a short time. With a conducive environment, there are many local government institutions situated in close proximity to these projects. With 60 plots of land in both projects, all basic amenities including pipe borne water, three phase electricity and wide roads are available. Clear titles are given to all customers who purchase these plots. The plots are reasonably priced to match the earning capacity of people, especially executive grade officers in the private sector and middle income families. Loan facilities are also available from leading commercial banks.”

Speed Lands (Pvt.) Ltd is a member of the Speed Group of Companies. Sritrims, Speed Water, Speed Motors and Speed Credit are the other companies within the Group. Nishantha Delgoda, a prominent businessman in Sri Lanka, is the architect of Speed Group of Companies.
