100PLUS rehydrates Health Run O’ Walk by Royal College
The popular isotonic drink 100PLUS partnered with the Old Royalist Athletics Club (ORAC) to become the co-sponsor of Health Run O’ Walk, the latest addition to the Annual Inter House Road Race of Royal College, Colombo.
100PLUS, a popular hydrating source among marathon runners, sportsmen and active lifestyle enthusiasts, served the rehydration and re-energising needs of over one thousand participants of the Health Run O’ Walk.
The co-sponsorship of Browns 100PLUS was declared at ORAC Awards; the felicitation programme for Royal College athletes for the year 2017, held on February 14th 2018, at Royal College Nava Rangahala.
One of the most lookedforward-to events in the Royal College Calendar, the Annual Inter House Road Race concluded on February 18th 2018, with the participation of over 1500 students in junior, intermediate and senior categories.
The Old Royalists Athletic Club (ORAC) originated another tradition by introducing the Health Run O’ Walk aiming to promote healthy living amongst parents, old boys and well-wishers of Royal College. 100PLUS kept the participants of the Health Run O’ Walk refreshed throughout the 5.2 kilometre run.
“Browns Pharmaceutical Ltd is pleased of Royal College’s effort to promote a healthy lifestyle among adults through Health Run O’ Walk in parallel to the Annual Inter House Road Race for the students. 100PLUS will aid the road race contestants to replenish water and energy lost during the race, as the caffeine-free healthy solution rehydrates the human body with its thirst-quenching and energyreplenishing ingredients such as minerals, glucose and sucrose,” stated Browns Pharmaceuticals Ltd Deputy Chairman Mangala Wijesinghe at the felicitation programme for athletes for the year 2017.
“Royal College highly appreciates 100PLUS’S contribution to make the inaugural Health Run O’ Walk a success. ORAC has agreed to allocate the proceeds from the walk to develop College athletics. We also anticipate to make the Health Run O’ Walk an annual event and upgrade into a mini-marathon in time to come,” noted an official from the Old Royalist Athletics Club at the ORAC Awards Ceremony.
