Sri Lanka’s premier Industrial Chamber, Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI) has been organising Achiever Awards for the past 16 years to promote industrial growth in the country through rewarding excellence in business performance. The event recognises industrial business entities for their achievements both in the manufacturing and service sectors through quality assurance, productivity, employee benefits and labour relations while fulfilling social and environmental obligations.

National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka conducts NBEA with a view to recognising business enterprises, which have demonstrated excellence in business, whilst contributing to the economic progress of the country. Having commenced in 2004, the National Business Excellence Awards have over the years recognised business establishment which have excelled in performance and encouraged many to pursue and conform to the suggested excellence model. NBEA has maintained its high standard at the top and gained much recognition and prestige among the business community as a well-structured awards scheme and has become today, the symbol of excellence for the ‘best of the best’ businesses in Sri Lanka.

“Gaining recognition at two such prominent and a prestigious event is truly an achievement that pays tribute to our operational and service excellence,” commented Litro Gas Lanka Marketing and Sales/ Corporate Affairs Director Chaminda Ediriwickrama.

Both Achiever Awards and National Business Excellence Awards incorporate a judging process which subjects each applicant to a rigorous evaluation procedure by an eminent panel of independent judges.

Winning the Gold award at the National Level Government Sector requires the winner to excel in all areas of operations and business growth such as financial strength, operational excellence, competencies in the HR facet, health, safety, environmental disciplines, achievements in technological expertise, proficiency in marketing, sales, distribution, undertakings on areas of Corporate Social Responsibility as well as Sustainability. Achievers Award in Industrial Excellence in the extra-large Category rewards business excellence in organisations that record a high annual total turnover.

National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka evaluates organisations using a newly structured evaluation model of seven perspectives - Excellence in Leadership, Excellence in Corporate Governance, Excellence in Capacity Building, Excellence in Performance Management, Excellence in Local and Global Market Reach, Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability and Excellence in Business and Financial Results.
