Ankara adds ‘Atelier and Leisure’ spaces to unique restaurant

-

Colombo’s first and only Turkish restaurant, Ankara opened its doors in February of 2017 to introduce authentic Turkish cuisine to food lovers in the country seeking to experience the true taste of Turkish cuisine.

The interiors of this restaurant are laid out with art influenced by the region complete with large Ottomanstyle pillars and seating that creates an ambiance to complete what’s on offer.

Efficient and friendly staff is at hand to welcome and guide Ankara’s customers through a culinary experience based on the menu it promises to offer.

Having completed her first anniversary in business this elite restaurant has briefly brought down the curtain, to reopen, introducing a new phase to Colombo where clients will have the opportunity of enjoying various activities that promises to add to the uniqueness of this property.

The introduction of this plan is defined as Atelier and Leisure Spaces and will offer Colombo’s art culture and food connoisseurs the opportunity to conduct mini events so that they can enjoy, promote or even sit back, relax with family and friends and bask in the flavours of Turkey.

With these new additions, Ankara will make available rooms for men and women to be able to conduct gettogethers, host private meetings and other social events, while it will be the same for women who wish to host exclusively ‘ladies only’ pre-wedding parties all booked in advance for intimate gatherings for up to 25 per room designed to showcase both Mogul (Arabic style) and westernstyle functions.

Spaces can also be used for corporate presentations and mini exhibitions. The first of such events will be held in May when ‘Adrisya’ partners with Ankara to launch the ‘Adrisya Serendipity’ Sri Lanka collection of fashion jewellery especially designed for the fashion-conscious woman.

Shabnam, the owner and designer of ‘Adrisya’, began her career creating inspirational and unique art jewellery from Pune, India in 2012 and is now present in four countries. They also participate at international exhibitions thereby catering to a private clientele through her international partners.
