Fairfirst Insurance expands islandwide operations

-

Fairfirst Insurance is steadily growing its islandwide operations via a series of new Business Development Offices (BDO).

The expansion process began early this year and as at date, a total of nine new BDOS have commenced operations. Kadawatha, Welimada, Kadugasthota, Elpitiya, Hambanthota, Hatton, etc. are a few of the locations Fairfirst Insurance has setup shop in.

With the addition of these offices, Fairfirst will have a total of 82 sales and service centres and this will continue to increase. The BDOS will function as a centre for driving the company’s growth agenda and servicing customers.

Fairfirst Insurance Operations Head Dhilan Mitchell stated, “We are confident that the extension of our ground presence via a network of BDOS will not only supplement our growing brand but also enable for ease of access for people.”

Among the top general insurance companies of Sri Lanka, Fairfirst serves individuals, businesses and institutions across this beautiful island through a versatile workforce spread across a comprehensive branch network, affinity partners and leading brokers in the market.

Fairfirst Insurance is also part of the Canadian-based Fairfax Group. Fairfax, through its subsidiaries, has an international insurance and reinsurance business with a global underwriting reach, longstanding relationships and a broad product range.

Fairfax has a strong foothold in the growing insurance and reinsurance markets of Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Brazil.

An auxiliary component of Fairfirst’s expansion is grooming potential leaders to fast track their careers. Up and coming professionals have been identified to drive the BDO operations by taking on a more prominent role in the organisation.

Additionally, the Fairfirst Leadership programme, which was inaugurated last year, will continue this year as well, further driving the organisation’s future leaders towards success.

Speaking on the company’s growth agenda was Fairfirst Insurance Managing Director and CEO Dr. Sanjeev Jha. “We will continue to invest in our exceptional people who do amazing work and help them reach their potential faster.”
