Canada Gateway’s Managing Director I CEO Dr. Lionel Samayawardhena briefed the participants on how Smartpal 1 device affects the telecommunication technology in Sri Lanka and possible future changes in it.

“This is really an important moment in the tele communication industry of our country. We’re bringing future technology in to present. We all know that every work has a process up to the end. It’s the same in the tele communications industry too. So this process can be shortened and digitalized to make it more efficient and profitable. Therefore, we are introducing a newer device to increase the speed of tele communication and also to increase profits,” he explained.

Canada Gateway has introduced software programmes in parallel with the device. This device, powered by Android, is equipped with multi-purpose features of a modern smart phone. It also includes international standards such as biometric technology, barcodes & QR reading, printing and payment card industry data security standard (PCI DSS).

“We are planning to introduce several new trends in the field of technology in future. Especially looking forward to launching a new brand in Sri Lanka to offer the best quality laptops and tablets at an affordable price. We are also discussing new initiatives that could absorb future technology in to the banking industry of Sri Lanka. In fact what technology can do in the journey towards development in Sri Lanka is remarkable. With a dedicated vision, we are committed to providing innovative technology solutions to any sector” Dr. Samayawardhena further added.

‘Innovations for tomorrow’ the vision of Serendib Consultants Canada. In keeping with this vision, the company continues to innovate by local and foreign technological teams.

“Our country has not yet been technologically advanced. If that does not change, we cannot go forward in the competitive world. On the other hand, complexity of the needs of consumers are increasing day by day. Therefore, technology and innovation are indispensable in every field,” Dr. Samayawardhena pointed out.
