Sri Lanka EDB to participate at Apparel Sourcing, Paris
Last year in September, EDB participated with its first Sri Lankan Pavilion in Apparel Sourcing.
Paris as one of the major fashion capitals of the world is the best place to promote and sell brands and collections in Europe, to the Western, and increasingly to the Eastern and Middle Eastern markets.
Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) will participate with Sri Lankan pavilion in Apparel Sourcing, Paris which will be held from September 17 to 20, 2018, collocated with Texworld and Leatherworld Paris.
The fair will help to understand the European market and how best to increase buyers to Sri Lanka. EDB is providing subsidised stalls to increase the exports of menswear, womenswear, children and infant wear, intimate apparel, resort and swimwear, outerwear/ casual-wear, sportswear, workwear and uniform, active wear, fashion accessories, designer wear, brands/labels.
Leatherworld Paris will be held first time in September 2018. Leatherworld Paris will contain tannery as well as finished leather goods. These will range from leather garments to accessories such as bags, shoes and other fashion products. Over the years, a large number of leather brands have been requesting a section of leather inside the show.
Exhibitors from Sri Lanka in September 2017 include: Crystal Lanka Apparels (Pvt.) Ltd, JIA Moda (Pvt.) Ltd, Lanka Garments Mfg. Co, Perks Clothing (Pvt.) Ltd, Queens Work Wear (Pvt.) Ltd, Sarasavi Exports (Pvt.) Ltd, Stylish Garments (Pvt.) Ltd and Trendywear (Pvt.) Ltd.
Participation fee is 5,794 euros, for nine square-metres and EDB provide up to 50 percent subsidy on it.
Due to limited stand availability, it is requested that participants apply before the deadline on May 11, 2018.
