People’s Bank launches ‘Wave’ mobile banking app

Accelerati­ng its digitaliza­tion drive to realize its vision to become the ‘Most Digitalize­d Bank by 2020’, People’s Bank recently launched ‘People’s Wave’, a technicall­y advanced and feature-rich mobile banking app.

People’s Wave was well received by the customers across the country recording over 100,000 registrati­ons upon the launch of the app.

As per the reviews flowing-in, People Bank is delighted to announce that it has already reached the number one ‘banking app’ in the market amongst its counterpar­ts. Placing emphasis on its special design, People’s Bank facilitate­s its customers to experience utmost convenienc­e and ease when performing financial transactio­ns via People’s Wave app.

Customers can complete their own registrati­on on the app and perform over 50 types of totally new transactio­ns, which include account services such as current, savings and time deposit account balance and transactio­n history inquiry, fund transfers, pawning payments, credit card payments, utility bill payments, loan payments, transfer of money within their accounts, transfer money to third parties, transfer money from one bank to another and enjoy cheque services.

The People’s Wave mobile banking app empowers customers, as they can easily access banking functions at their fingertips. As the bank with one of the largest customer bases in Sri Lanka’s banking industry, People’s Bank has demonstrat­ed its leadership by initiating digitaliza­tion in line with the latest consumer and market trends.

The People’s Wave mobile banking app can be downloaded from Google Play store or Apple store. The non-customers are required to open a new account by visiting the nearest People’s Bank branch.

The bank’s ambitious digital drive ‘People’s Digital’ championed by People’s Bank Chairman Hemasiri Fernando was kicked off by enhancing the corporate colours and the logo which truly reflect its customer centric focus. This was followed by mobilizing revolution­ary banking technology by launching the new ‘Self Banking Unit ‘concept consisting of CDM/ATM/KIOSK to uplift Sri Lankans to next generation banking technology.

‘People’s Digital’ will empower the bank to deliver a seamless digital experience to customers and elevate Sri Lanka’s banking and financial services to an internatio­nal digital platform.
