Siyapatha Finance concludes ‘Bonanza’ amidst much acclaim

Siyapatha Finance PLC successful­ly conducted the ‘Siyapatha Bonanza’ award ceremony recently.

The event was graced by Siyapatha Finance PLC Chief Operating Officer Rajeev De Silva and other officials of the organisati­on. Twenty-one lucky customers walked away with amazing prizes as promised by Siyapatha Finance PLC.

The ‘Siyapatha Bonanza’ was initiated as a means of rewarding Siyapatha Leasing and Gold Financing customers and is a much-awaited event in the organisati­on’s calendar. The winners were selected from a list of customers who obtained leasing facilities and gold loan facilities during the promotiona­l period announced.

The grand prize winner in the Leasing category, M.P.S. Marasinghe, found himself driving home in a brandnew Renault KWID.

In the Gold Loan category, a winner was selected from each of Siyapatha Finance’s branches. These lucky winners were presented with extremely valuable 22k gold coins. They are I.M. Rifasi - Ampara, M. Aswer - Anuradhapu­ra, A.I. Shalika - Avissawell­a, Y.I. Haleema Batticoloa, M.D. Madara - Gampaha, A. Priyangani - Negombo, S. Muralidhar­an - Nugegoda, Jayantha Seneviratn­e - Nuwara-eliya, A. Paandiraja - Ratnapura, S. Hulasimani - Sainthamar­thu, M.S. Wahitha Trincomale­e, S. Thivaragha­n - Vavuniya and M. Muniyandi - Wellawatte.

With the view of celebratin­g the New Year season embracing all the cultures and traditions, the student committee of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Sri Lanka held the annual New Year celebratio­ns ‘Kavumkokis 2018: Beach Edition’, on April 7, 2018, for the third consecutiv­e year.

The event was held at the Shelton seafood restaurant on the Mount Lavinia beach. The sandy coast and the shimmering beach certainly added more colour to the event.

The day commenced with the traditiona­l practice of lighting the oil lamp followed by boiling of the pot of milk amidst the cool winds of the sea.

The chief guest, CIM Sri Lanka Chairman Brian Selvanayag­am welcomed and warmly wished a prosperous and a blessed new year to the entire gathering of guests.

The event featured a number of traditiona­l Avurudu games such as pillow fights, tug-ofwar and sack-race, etc. which were all held on the beach shore. The event was indeed a great success and fellowship and camaraderi­e after the event further facilitate­d networking among the CIM students and members.

CIM Sri Lanka continues to play a pivotal role in highlighti­ng the importance of marketing and always campaigned for greater recognitio­n and excellence in the marketing profession in Sri Lanka, through education, training and profession­al developmen­t.
