POLICE IFTHAR PROMOTING RECONCILIATION AND MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP
Islam is a religion of peace, which guides us to reach the God by fulfilling the five pillars, faith, prayer, fasting, zakat, and hajj.
The Holy Quran was revealed in the odd nights of Ramadan, it points out the uniqueness of the Ramadan month to the people.
According to Anas (Rali), Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had said that “the best charity is to satisfy a hungry person”.
Hence, it is possible to realize the importance attached to the act of feeding a hungryperson according to Islam religion.
Observing the holy Ramadan fasting, is one of the holy pillars of Muslims, and providing facilities to break the fasting are considered noble deeds that brings more benefits.
In that respect, to receive the grace of “Allah”, Sri Lankan Police have arranged the “Police Ifthar” ceremony to break the fasting of the Ramadan observers tomorrow, May 22. held at the auditorium of the Colombo Deputy Inspector General of Police with the participation of Minister of Public Administration and Management and Law & Order Ranjith Maddumabandara, on the invitation of Inspector General of Police, Pujith Jayasundara. Muslim ministers, Muslim MPS, Foreign Ambassadors of Muslim countries, Muslim journalists, senior police officers and all Muslim police officers will participate in this ceremony.
The Iftar Festival, which is organized by the Buddhist and Religious Affairs Association of Sri Lanka Police for the 8th time, (A. F. Fuard, (IP, OIC Police Media Division) for Muslim police officers will be
