Prior to mass production, each sample phone goes through 130 tests which include a 10,000 drop test (the handset free falls onto a marble slab) and a micro drop test during which the handset is thrown from a seven-centimetre height 20,000 times. During the button key test each side key is tapped 100,000 times with a force of one-kilogram. Each sample phone also goes through a USB plugging and a USB bending test to check the durability and hardiness of USB ports.
