Ilma girls excel at “ART PARTY”

-

An ART AND CRAFTS EXHIBITION by the students of the lower primary classes of Ilma Internation Girls’ School was held recently at the school premises.

The main focus was using recycled items based on the theme

“ZERO WASTE”. It was interesting to notice the paintings on paper and canvasses with a spectrum of colours which enhanced their imagination and fantasy. It was a journey that started small but ended big. The latent skills of the kids were evident while oil pastels, fabric paint, tube colours and powder paints were used for colours. Sequins, beads, ribbons, coir and rope were used to decorate the items. Recyclable items such as tins, curd pots, bottles, boxes, lids, egg cartons, newspaper, cloth and twigs were made use of as the main focus based on Zero waste.

All classes were decorated conceptually based on their themes such as wildlife, transport, farm, underwater world, ornaments, fabric painting, photo frames, sweet shop, technology, flower garden and many more. Under the guidance of the teachers the kids in their own creative world, animatedly explained their work to the visitors.

The “ART PARTY’ paved the way for the kids to showcase their talents. It also helped boost their confidence with all the praise and appreciation they received from the pupils and teachers from visiting schools as well as their parents and guests.
