DIGS, SPS, ASPS, CIS IPS TRANSFERRED
Six DIGS, inducing Crimes DIG Kamal Silva and DIG In-charge of the North Western Province Ajith Rohana, had been transferred on service requirements yesterday, the Police said.
They said three Superintendents of Police (SPS) including Western Province Intelligence Division Director, two Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPS), three Chief Inspectors (CI) and six Inspectors (IP) were also transferred.
The National Police Commission (NPC) approved the transfers recommended by IGP Pujith Jayasundera.
Accordingly, L.H.K.W. Kamal Silva has been transferred to Legal and Discipline & Conduct Division from the Crime Division, DIG P.P.S.M Dharmaratne was transferred to Training, Recruitment, HR Management and International Affairs Division from Training, Recruitment Division, DIG Ajith Rohana was transferred to Traffic Control and Road Safety Division from the Western Province North Division, DIG T.M.W.D. Tennakoon has been transferred to Western Province North Division from the Vavuniya Division while DIG S. Anura Abeyawickrema has been transferred to Vavuniya Division from the Police Field Force Headquarters and DIG J.A.P.G. Perera was transferred to the Police Field Force Headquarter from the Complaints Division.
Meanwhile, Director of Western Province Intelligence Division SP W.M.A.R. Fernando has been transferred as the Director of the Ambassadors and Judicial Security Division while Transport Division Director SP W.A.D.G. Jayalath was transferred as Property Management Division Director and SP S.M.K.C. Thilakaratne of the Transport Division has been appointed as its Director.
ASP P.M.K.P. Gunawardane has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the Transport Division while ASP B.A.E Prasanna has been appointed as the Acting Director of the Western Province Intelligence Division from the Ministerial Security Division (MSD).
The CIS are M.P. Waidyathilaka from Hingurakgoda HQI to HQI Polonnaruwa, M.S.M. Jarul from HQI Polonnaruwa to HQI Hingurakgoda and T.C. Wettasinghe from OIC Hikkaduwa to Field Force Headquarters.
IPS are P.L. Keerthisingha from OIC Nelliadi to OIC Hikkaduwa, N.P.S. Jayalath from OIC Medirigiriya to OIC in Habarana, P.A.U.W. Pitigala from OIC Habarana to OIC Medirigiriya, S.M.L.R. Bandara from OIC Aralaganvila to OIC Welikanda, K.P.W. Premalal from OIC Welikanda to OIC Aralaganvila and P.P.K. Pathirana from Polonnaruwa Division to Acting OIC of Pulasthigama.
