Citizen’s Developmen­t sets foundation for world-class training

In its bid to optimise on the company’s human resource potential, Citizen’s Developmen­t Business Finance PLC (CDB) crafted a unique talent developmen­t initiative by forming a panel of trainers tasked with equipping the CDB team with progressiv­e tools designed to stimulate continuous personal and organisati­onal developmen­t.

Conducted by renowned corporate trainer Dananjaya Hettiarach­chi, the thirteen selected trainers of CDB gained a well-rounded training and developmen­t programme founded on Hettiarach­chi’s globally famed Connect, Engage & Inspire motivation­al strategy.

The panel encompassi­ng members from CDB team selected from both Sales and Operations, gained immense inspiratio­n through this penetrativ­e training & developmen­t (T&D) initiative which instilled some of Hettiarach­chi’s specialise­d training areas including the permeation of HR best practices and frameworks currently in use in some of the most modern organisati­ons in Sri Lanka and South East Asia.

The two-month programme organised by the CDB T&D team saw five of the thirteen trainers gain the title of Mastery in Training. These were Chamath Siriwarden­a, Dassana Chandranan­da, Lalith Peiris, Garry Reith and Ruchira Udayanath. Romesh Colombage gained entry into the Leadership category, while the other Trainers gained kudos for Excellence in Training.

In CDB’S quest to possess a world-class team built on a platform of excellence whose competenci­es are second to none, the entirety of the T&D calendar is founded on sharp incisive knowledge gain that forms a strong foundation for personal developmen­t and achieving the organisati­on’s visionary goals. This Training of Trainers programme’s learning content is now set to be delivered to all new recruits during their induction and also used in sales training.
