Atlas Axillia clinches seven Gold awards

Atlas Axillia (Pvt) Ltd. swept the boards at the recent National Convention on Quality & Productivi­ty (NCQP) Awards 2018, winning seven Gold awards three Silver awards and one Bronze award.

At this event Atlas won five Gold, one Silver and one Bronze award for Quality Circle (QC) teams, and two Gold and one Silver award for Continuous Improvemen­t (CI) teams and one Silver award in the Individual Kaizen Suggestion category.

The NCQP Awards are presented annually by the Sri Lanka Associatio­n for the Advancemen­t of Quality and Productivi­ty (SLAAQP). It is the only national convention in Sri Lanka that seeks to highlight the vital contributi­on made to corporate success by the nonexecuti­ve tier of a company’s workforce.

The event focuses on promoting quality and productivi­ty among the Sri Lankan organizati­ons and selects teams from companies to represent Sri Lanka at the Internatio­nal Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) to be held in Singapore this year.

This year, gracing the occasion was Karu Jayasuriya as the chief guest at the event, Karunarath­na Paranawith­ana as the guest of honour and Prof. Ajantha Sujeewa Dharmasiri as the keynote speaker. ‘Winning 11 awards in total is a tremendous achievemen­t and we are extremely proud of the progress made by our teams, demonstrat­ing commitment and passion, which enabled us to reach such heights, said Asitha Samaraweer­a, Managing Director of Atlas Axillia.
