Atlas Axillia clinches seven Gold awards
Atlas Axillia (Pvt) Ltd. swept the boards at the recent National Convention on Quality & Productivity (NCQP) Awards 2018, winning seven Gold awards three Silver awards and one Bronze award.
At this event Atlas won five Gold, one Silver and one Bronze award for Quality Circle (QC) teams, and two Gold and one Silver award for Continuous Improvement (CI) teams and one Silver award in the Individual Kaizen Suggestion category.
The NCQP Awards are presented annually by the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Quality and Productivity (SLAAQP). It is the only national convention in Sri Lanka that seeks to highlight the vital contribution made to corporate success by the nonexecutive tier of a company’s workforce.
The event focuses on promoting quality and productivity among the Sri Lankan organizations and selects teams from companies to represent Sri Lanka at the International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) to be held in Singapore this year.
This year, gracing the occasion was Karu Jayasuriya as the chief guest at the event, Karunarathna Paranawithana as the guest of honour and Prof. Ajantha Sujeewa Dharmasiri as the keynote speaker. ‘Winning 11 awards in total is a tremendous achievement and we are extremely proud of the progress made by our teams, demonstrating commitment and passion, which enabled us to reach such heights, said Asitha Samaraweera, Managing Director of Atlas Axillia.
