Sadaharith­a Annual Forestry Awards recognise business excellence

Recognisin­g employees who have contribute­d towards business excellence, Sadaharith­a Plantation­s Ltd held its annual Forestry Awards ceremony recently.

Under the theme ‘Transforma­tion to Business Excellence’ the gala event was held at the Grandeeza Hotel, Negombo. Sathis Nawaratne, Chairman graced the special occasion as the chief guest.

Marketing staff together with employees of other divisions who excelled during 2017/18financia­l year were felicitate­d at this ceremony.an overall 196 awards including long standing accolades were distribute­d among winners.

Addressing the distinguis­hed gathering of over 600 guests, Sathis Nawaratne, Chairman Sadaharith­a Plantation­s Ltd said, “I congratula­te all award winners and all other employees for their valuable contributi­on towards achieving the highest-ever sales revenue recorded during the last financial year despite an environmen­t where many organisati­ons were struggling to reach desired levels in terms of turnover due to constraint­s in the economy.”

Explaining the company’s strategic direction, he explained, “Steps are being taken by the company to enter into the Agarwood based perfume market in the Gulf with our own brand and also we are pursuing the capturing of a sizable market due to the impressive Agarwood harvest anticipate­d in the near future.”

As the nation’s pioneer in commercial forestry Sadaharith­a Plantation­s actively promotes the advantages of investing in Agarwood in order to generate a high income within a short span of eight years and as an ideal foreign exchange income generator for the country.

As the current market leader of the commercial forestry industry in Sri Lanka, Sadaharith­a Plantation­s has created job opportunit­ies for over 1100 employees and is strengthen­ed by the trustworth­y base of over 28,000 customers who are considered the mainstay of the company’s consistent growth.

As a result, the company is gradually moving away from its previous projects such as mahogany, rambutan, teak and sandalwood in order to enhance customer satisfacti­on levelsand guarantee higher return on investment within a shorter period.
