St. Joseph’s record easy five-wicket win

A match bag of ten wickets by Ishan Thisera and half tons by Dushan Fernando and Kenneth Karunaratn­e helped St. Joseph’s College Wattala to record a five-wicket win over President’s College Minuwangod­a in the Under 15 Division Three second round match played at Minuwangod­a.

St. Sylvester’s and St. Peter’s recorded easy first innings wins against Gamini Central Nuwara Eliya and Janajaya MV Moratuwa in two other matches of the same tournament played at Kandy and Moratuwa.

RESULTS:

At Minuwangod­a – St. Joseph’s won by five wickets

President’s College Minuwangod­a 199 (Ishan Anuruddha 82, Nisal Gunasinghe 41: Isuru Thisera 3 for 47, Kasun Fernando 2 for 27) and 113 (Nisal Gunasinghe 46: Isuru Thisera 7 for 41)
