Imal steers Dharmasoka MV to thrilling win

A five-wicket haul by Imal Thehara helped Dharmasoka MV Ambalangod­a record a thrilling two-run win against D. S. Senanayake College Colombo in the pre-quarter match of the Under 15 Division One cricket tournament played at Balapitiya yesterday.

In two other pre-quarter-final matches of the same tournament St. Peter’s College outclassed Nalanda College by 95 runs and St. Anne’s College Kurunegala defeated Richmond College by 13 runs in the matches played at Bambalapit­iya and Kurunegala.

Christ Church College Ja-ela defeated De Mazenod ‘B’ by four wickets while S. Thomas’ College ‘B’ beat Loyola College Negombo by 69 runs.

At Balapitiya – Dharmasoka MV won by two runs

At Bambalapit­iya – St. Peter’s won by 95 runs
