NCE announces sponsors for 26th Annual NCE Export Awards
The National Chamber of Exporters (NCE) of Sri Lanka recently held a media conference to announce its selected sponsors for the upcoming 26th Annual NCE Export Awards which is to be held on September 28 at the Shangri-la Hotel, Colombo.
The head table at the conference comprised of NCE President Ramal Jasinghe, NCE CEO and Secretary General Shiham Marikar, Awards Committee Chairperson Ramya Weerakoon, Mobitel Enterprise Business General Manager Prabhath Gamage, Panel of Judges Technical Committee Head Samantha Kunarasena and International Labour Organisation (ILO) Country Head Simrin Singh.
NCE CEO and Secretary General Shiham Marikar said the awards, which serve to recognise and reward the achievements of the local exporters in the international market place, will this year be held at a Shangri-la Hotel. He said that the selection for this venue was to accommodate a larger number of attendees, in an attempt to address the shortage in the previous awards’ limitations. This year’s event will see the participation of around 900 invitees.
The main sponsor for the awards is Mobitel (Pvt.) Ltd, while premium sponsors include Bank of Ceylon PLC, Colombo International Container Terminals, Fairfirst Insurance, National Development Bank, Sri Lanka Export Credit Insurance and Sri Lanka Tea Board.
Principal sponsors include Cargills Bank PLC, LMD Publications, Nations Trust Bank and Sunken Overseas, while other sponsors include Expack Corrugated Cartons (Pvt.) Ltd, Halal Accreditation, Sampath Bank PLC and Toyota Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd.
