MEET OLIVER

At 3 years of age, Oliver is both a bundle of energy and a lazy cat rolled into one, and Janaki wouldn’t have it any other way. Despite Janaki not wanting to keep any of the kittens, Oliver managed to win her over, and now he is very much a part of her life.

Oliver is one of the kittens from my other cat's litter. Initially, I was not planning to keep any of the kittens for myself, but from day 1, Oliver used to have a special bond with me. When he could walk, he used to always follow me around.

Q WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME YOU’VE GIVEN?

Incidentally, I had to buy the Oliver Twist book for my daughter. And I thought Oliver was a nice name for him.

Q WHAT ARE MEAL TIMES AND BATH TIMES LIKE?

I give him a bath once a week. Twice if I’m really busy. He has two big meals a day.

Q WHAT’S HIS FAVOURITE THING TO DO?

He is still very playful and loves chasing animals and insects.

Q WHAT WAS THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT YOU’VE SHARED WITH HIM?

Oliver is from my older cat's first litter. So watching him being born was an unforgettable moment. Especially because we weren’t sure if he would be stillborn since the mother had complications.

Q DOES HE DO ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY THAT FASCINATES YOU?

I love how he suddenly decides he wants to play hide and seek. It's so random that it’s really very adorable.

Q WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT OLIVER?

No matter what, at the end of the day, he loves us all. Even those of us who don't spend as much time with him.

Q WHAT’S THE NAUGHTIEST THING HE HAS DONE?

He pooped in my son’s shoe one time. But he has never done that again.

Q HOW DOES HE REACT WHEN YOU RETURN HOME?

As soon as he hears us, he goes near my room so he can come in with me.
