MASSEGE FROM THE RCU SECRETARY

- Mithila Mendis

The Brand EDEX has, over a decade and a half, delivered it’s promise of bringing new and relevant opportunities to career aspirants of Sri Lanka. The wide range of activities and programmes linked to EDEX has converted the events conducted by EDEX to a wholesome brand for Higher Education, Skills Development and Career Guidance.

As we inaugurate the EDEX Mid – Year Expo for 2018, we are reminded of our journey and the pace of change we have observed during the existence of EDEX. Hence, while I congratulate the EDEX Team for continuing to provide a consistent Platform to the Sri Lankan Youth, I wish to assure continuous innovation and realignment to the current and future generations of career aspirants.

It is said that in a decade, the jobs available are going to be indistinguishable from those of today. Technology is turning many long-standing jobs to obsolescence at a pace, which some find hard to emulate. This is the Challenge that EDEX continuously addresses and will keep transforming itself to stay relevant and current at all times.

The Royal College Union is proud to have spearheaded this nationally important endeavor and is committed to sustaining this worthy enterprise for the benefit of Sri Lanka. I wish to take this opportunity to thank the organizing committee for the unwavering commitment in performing such a detailed exercise time and time again.
