MMI Curriculum Adjudged the Best Montessori Curriculum in Southeast Asia
Kids World Excellence Awards 2018 recognized Modern Montessori International Group (MMI) recently as its pre-school curriculum was adjudged the Best Montessori Curriculum. Created under Mummys Market, the host of the biggest baby fair in Southeast Asia, Kids World recognizes the excellent services offered by the preschool in the region in an attempt to create awareness among millions of parents on the need to give every child the best possible start in life; the data is collected through parent satisfaction surveys. Mr. Sanjay Chandran, the Director of Business Developmentmmi Group, received the award on behalf of the organization.
As far as the MMI curriculum is concerned, the activities encourage learning through play, yet the children embark on a more structured programme with communication, language, and literacy; music and movement; creative art; mathematics; cultural subjects; and physical development all forming a part of the weekly timetable. Activities are hands-on and appeal to a child’s sense of fun, supporting their ongoing sensorial exploration of the world and motivating them to be successful according to their individual abilities. The caring and qualified teachers of ANC-MMI deliver this same curriculum across all three branches- Dehiwala, Nawala-nugegoda, and Colombo 5 in a nurturing environment.
It’s noteworthy that our 130 graduates who completed their preschool education this year have been accepted by many state and private/ international schools of high repute in Colombo, S. Thomas’ College, Musaeus College, Methodist College, Bishop’s College, Ananda College, Wycherley, Stafford, Gateway, Asian International, and Lyceum International School, for example. ANC-MMI will continue to live up to its motto to ensure that each child is prepared for lifelong learning through the combined efforts of staff, parents, and the community.
