Semi-finalists found in U-15 Cricket Tourney

S. Thomas’ College ‘B’ along with Kirindiwel­a Central, St. Sebastian’s College ‘B’ and Christ the King College Ja-ela have advanced into the semi-finals of the Under-15 Division Two Inter-schools Cricket Tournament.

S. Thomas’ ‘B’, Kirindiwel­a Central and St. Sebastian’s ‘B’ qualified by gaining bonus points victories against St. Bernadette’s College Polgahawel­a, Harishchan­dra National School Negombo and St. Joseph’s College Wattala while Christ the King recorded a first innings win over Galahitiya­wa Central in their respective quarter-final encounters.

At Wattala (S. Thomas’ ‘B’ won on bonus points)

S. Thomas’ ‘B’: 185 (Nethmal Dissanayak­e 59, Ashen Perera 33, Andrew Thirukumar 26, Vihanga Wickramara­tne 6/31, Pasindu Jayawansa 2/10)

St. Bernadette’s Polgahawel­a: 128/4 (Pasindu Jayawansa 50, Rishi Sarosh 50 n.o).

At Wattala (Kirindiwel­a Central won on bonus points)

Harishchan­dra NS Negombo: 97/7.

At Horana (St. Sebastian’s ‘B’ won on bonus points)

St. Sebastian’s ‘B’: 204/4 declared (Milash Perera 51, Krishan Bandara 41)

St. Joseph’s Wattala: 137/4 (Teran Fernando 3/29).

At Dalupotha (1st innings win for Christ the King Ja-ela)
