HNB conferred as among top 10 ‘Most Admired Companies’
HNB PLC was recognized as one of Sri Lanka’s top 10 ‘Most Admired Companies’ at a glittering ceremony held recently.
Jointly organised by the International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICCSL) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Sri Lanka, the landmark event drew participation from Sri Lanka’s most successful listed and non-listed corporates, while Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe attended as the chief guest, together with CIMA President Steven Swientozielskyj and ICC India President Jawahar Vadivelu as guests of honour.
The ranking was based on many parameters, which included corporate governance, impact on society, product and service quality, innovation, quality of leadership, employee empowerment and business footprint, with the top 10 companies being selected from 120 entries. The award was received by HNB’S Chief Operating Officer Dilshan Rodrigo.
HNB Managing Director and Chief Executive Jonathan Alles said it was an absolute honour to be bestowed such recognition at the prestigious and inaugural ICCSL-CIMA, ‘Most Admired Company’ awards.
“This is outstanding recognition for us and exemplifies our commitment to excellence, to service and to the community. Needless to say, we are thrilled.”
The awards were presented following a lengthy and rigorous evaluation, based on globally accepted quantitative and qualitative criteria, overseen by an eminent and distinguished panel of judges. They included Awards Evaluation Committee Chairman Ravi Abeysuriya, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau Managing Director Sutheash Balasubramaniam, legal luminary and President’s Counsel Harsha Cabraal, Export Development Board Chairperson Indira Malwatte, KPMG Middle East and South Asia Regional Chairman Reyaz Mihular, Prof. Kapila Perera and AIA Insurance Lanka PLC Director Deepal Sooriyaarachchi.
