PSD are Police Athletic Champions

With an overall tally of 399 points the President’s Security Division (PSD) emerged overall Champions at the 81st Inter Division Police Athletic Meet and with it took possession of the President’s Challenge Cup at the Police Grounds.

The Special Task Force with a total of 314 points was the runner-up team and won the Prime Minister’s Challenge Cup.

S. Sivendran Challenge Cup to the best Outstation Woman Athlete – L.P.I.K. Pathirana.

John Atygalle Challenge Cup for the best outstation Male Athlete – N.H.K. Maduranga.

B.L. Kodithuwak­ku Challenge Cup for the best performanc­e in the Male throwing events – R.M.A.K. Karunasena.

Osmond de Silva Challenge Shield for the best performanc­e in the Women’s Jump Events – P.G. Sachithra.

Rockwood Challenge Cup for the overall performanc­e in the outstation’s Champion Team - Kurunegala.

Stanley Senanayake Challenge Cup for the best performanc­e in the Male track events – R.A.D.H. Kumara.

Cyril Herath Challenge Cup for the best performanc­e in Women’s Field Events – P.G. Sachithra.

C.C. Disanayake Challenge Cup for the best performanc­e in the Men’s Field Events – J.G.S. Wijetunga.

S. Vamadeven Challenge Cup for the best performanc­e by a Female at the Meet – S.H. Jayakantha.

Chandra Senanayake Challenge Cup for the best performanc­e by a Male Athlete at the Meet - R.A.D.H. Kumara.

C.C. Dissanayak­e Challenge Cup for the female Champions WPC Subodhani and Sachithra Jayakantha.

Rudra Ranasinghe Challenge Cup for the Overall Women’s Champion Team - President’s Security Division (154 points).

Dowbiggin Challenge Cup for the Men’s Champion Team -President’s Security Division (245 points).
