Sarvodaya Finance launches ‘60-60’ FD with free Dambadiva tour

Sarvodaya Developmen­t Finance, a leading finance company in the forefront of the finance industry, recently announced the launch of 60-60 fixed deposit in conjunctio­n with the 60th anniversar­y of the Sarvodaya Movement.

As a special fixed deposit account, 60-60 rewards its account holders with an allinclusi­ve Dambadiva tour for free. A new gift scheme for Sarvodaya Finance’s ‘Pancha’ saving account was also introduced at the ceremony in addition to introducin­g ‘Daru Isuru’ savings account.

Sarvodaya Movement Founder Dr. A.T. Ariyaratne, Sarvodaya Finance Chairman Channa de Silva and Sarvodaya Finance CEO Dharmasiri Wickramati­lake also graced the occasion.

The name ‘60-60’ denotes 60 years of service excellence by the Sarvodaya Movement as well as the deposit period spanning for five years, in other words 60 months. The 60-60 fixed deposit account can be opened by anyone, where they will be eligible for an all-inclusive pilgrimage to Dambadiva, covering air tickets, accommodat­ion and other requiremen­ts for free.

In addition, non-buddhist account holders will also receive an all-inclusive pilgrimage tour to India for free, where they can visit a religious site of their respective faith. Apart from the free tour, the fixed deposit offers attractive interest rates, which can be collected upon maturity or on a monthly basis.

Pancha children’s savings account has introduced a new gift scheme with a host of attractive gifts. The Pancha account can be opened for a child under 15 years. As a means of encouragin­g saving among children, Sarvodaya Finance offers an exciting range of gifts to Pancha account holders such as a till, water bottle, Pancha school bag, wrist watch, remote controlled car, drone, chopper bicycle and mountain bicycle in accordance with the value of the initial deposit.

A parent can open a Daru Isuru savings account, where a Pancha account will be opened automatica­lly. The Daru Isuru account also provides the convenienc­e of performing withdrawal­s from the parent’s account. As the parent continues to save more, Daru Isurupanch­a account continues to grow in proportion to the balance in the parent’s account.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ariyaratne and de Silva emphasized on the importance of inculcatin­g the habit of saving from a very young age.

A commemorat­ive plaque was handed over to Dr. Ariyaratne by de Silva, Wickramati­lake and Sarvodaya Finance Director Chaminda Rajakaruna, to mark the launch of 60-60 account.

Sarvodaya Finance believes the introducti­on of 60-60 fixed deposit account, along with its Pancha and Daru Isuru accounts will provide a necessary platform for the hundreds of communitie­s affiliated with the Sarvodaya Movement societies to build a financiall­y secure future and thereby elevate their living standards through strategic saving schemes.
