Chocolate Cobbler

When the days are long, full of piles of laundry, fuzzy kids, never ending grocery runs and tedious household complicati­ons, you need desserts like these. Simple and uncomplica­ted but still presenting to you a multitude of feelings of bliss. Warm, gooey and “oh so right” this version of the chocolate cobbler is your surefire way of presenting to your eager family and friends a dessert par excellence. Not to heavy and delectably easy on the taste-buds, the chocolate cobbler, as the name so quaintly indicates is easy to jazz up with a dollop of ice-cream or some heavy cream. Whilst you are gluing in the last sequin of the Greek project and the dinner is bubbling on the stove, make sure you first put a batch of this in the oven, for it will be the perfect ending to your anytime meal.

Ingredient­s

● 1 cup flour

● ½ teaspoon salt

● 1½ teaspoon baking powder

● ½ cup sugar

● 2 tablespoon­s plus ¼ cup cocoa powder, divided

● ½ cup milk

● 3 tablespoon­s oil

● 1 cup packed brown sugar

● 1¾ cups hot coffee

Instructio­ns

1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. In a medium size bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and 2 Tablespoon­s cocoa.

3. Stir in milk and oil.

4. Pour into baking dish

5. Combine the brown sugar and remaining cocoa. Sprinkle over batter.

6. Pour hot coffee over top (DO NOT STIR).

7. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
