RANDEER RODRIGO NIGHT CYCLE RACE ON SEP 29

The Randeer Rodrigo Challenge Trophy Night Racing Cycle Race will be held on September 29 at Hendala at 11pm. The race is organised by the Randeer Rodrigo Foundation. The distance of the race is 105km and the event is being conducted by the Cycling Federation of Sri Lanka.

There are 15 rounds and one round is to a distance of 7km.

Elite and Under-23 cyclists holding licences from the Cycling Federation of Sri Lanka are eligible to take part in the competitio­n.

The winners will receive cash awards as follows:

Winner: Rs 100,000

Second Place: Rs 75,000

Third Place: Rs 50,000

Fourth Place: Rs 30,000

Fifth Place: Rs 20,000

A youth rider will also be selected and will be awarded a cash award of Rs 25,000.

The race will start opposite the Hendala Randeer Rodrigo Foundation and will take the riders through Elalkata Junction, Hekitha Bridge, Negombo Road, Hendala Junction, Hendala Temple, Kerawalapi­tiya Junction, Nayaka Kanda Junction, Elakanda Junction and the start at the Randeer Rodrigo Foundation where one round will end.
