Nagawade steers Marthawada Mitra Mandal

Marthawada Mitra Mandal India secured their fifth successive win with a convincing 136-run victory against Zimbabwe in their seventh Red Bull Campus Cricket (RBCC) Twenty20 World Cup Cricket Tournament match played at the NCC Grounds in Maitland Place yesterday.

Skipper Shubham Nagawade slammed a quick-fire unbeaten 67-ball 133 that included four boundaries and 15 towering sixes whilst associatin­g in two fruitful partnershi­ps.

He first put on an opening stand of 103 runs with Murtaza Shabbir and a 129-run stand for the second-wicket with Rohan Damle as they posted the highest score of the tournament so far.

Later, Shubham Taiswal along with Yash Nahar combined to restrict their opponents for a score of 108 which helped them to advance into the final.
