Suriyage undisputed champ in Supermoto Racing
Helibees rider Sangeeth Suriyage put up a fine performance to win both events at the Supermoto Second Series worked off at the Katukurunda Racing Circuit recently.
Suriyage dominated the meet and went on to win the Open event and the 750cc event for the third successive year.
Suriyage got the first slot in the grid at the time-trial and took
advantage of his position in the grid and launched to the lead of 12 riders and held this position in all six laps.
In both events, he outsmarted the rest of his competitors by launching first and finished with a record time of 59 seconds a lap.
Suriyage has become the undisputed champ in the Supermoto motor racing and is now targeting a podium win in the Asian Supermoto Championship to be held in Singapore this November.
He has big plans for motor racing and is now working on his pet project to have a motor racing academy for novices.
