Prince of Wales rout DSS by innings

Kaumal Nanayakkar­a’s impressive matchbag of 11 for 53 helped Prince of Wales College rout D. S. Senanayake (DSS) College by an innings and 101 runs in their Under-19 Inter-schools Cricket Tournament encounter concluded at the Mattegoda yesterday.

Prince of Wales resuming from their overnight score of 150 for four went on to make a formidable score of 271 runs in their first innings.

DSS batting the second time with a deficit of 170 runs were skittle out for just 69 runs.

At Mattegoda (Prince of Wales won by innings and 101 runs)

DSS: 101 and 69 (Muditha Lakshan 28, Kaumal Nanayakkar­a 6/26, Suwath Mendis 4/29)
