NCE recognises YAS Lanka at Export Awards 2018
YAS Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd, a division of LULU Group International, was awarded a special award by the National Chamber of Exports Sri Lanka (NCE) on its 26th Annual NCE Export Awards 2018, held recently at Shangri-la Hotel Colombo.
YAS Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd is a Board of Investment venture located at the Katunayake Export Processing Zone with a state-of-the-art pack and logistic house.
This special award was awarded based on the contribution done by YAS Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd to the Local Empowerment for Economic Development (LEED) project in the northern part of Sri Lanka, which is a joint venture between the NCE and International Labour Organisation (ILO).
The award was accepted by LULU Group Global Buying Manager Zulfiker Kadavath, LULU Group Operations Sri Lanka and YAS Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd Consultant Warnajith Perera and YAS Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd Manager Operation Ismail Abdul Nazar.
YAS Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd became the leading fruit and vegetable exporter from Sri Lanka within a very short period of time. It exports other agricultural produces, process food, FMCG, tea and spices only to its own supermarket, hypermarket chains and shopping malls.
