Thaveesha and Dilum guide Richmond

An unbeaten knock of 74 by Thaveesha Abishek and a matchbag of seven wickets from Dilum Sudeera helped Richmond College record an easy first-innings win over St. Anthony’s College Wattala in their Under-19 Inter-schools Cricket Tournament encounter concluded at Wattala yesterday.

St. Anthony’s, resuming from their overnight score of 25 for four, were bundled out for a paltry 66 runs in their first innings and Richmond in reply made 168 for four declared.

Meanwhile, a hurricane knock of 229 by Uditha Lakshan was the highlight in the drawn match between Sri Rajasinghe Central, Kudabuthga­muwa and D. S. Senanayake Central, Mirigama played at Kudabuthga­muwa.
