Tedxcolombo 2018 to be held on October 28
This year’s Tedxcolombo themed ‘I, You, We’ to be held at Nelum Pokuna on October 28th , is about sparking an actionable understanding of identity and how it can be used as a tool for building empathy, trust and solidarity within and across cultures.
While we imagine individually, it’s time we crafted the ideas born of those musings, communally.
The turn of the 21st century has seen a strong push for communities to be defined - not by past traditions or norms - but by the courage of the individuals presently within them, and what they identify with in an increasingly brave and evolving world. Be it ethnicity, gender, technology or the environment - today is proof that the future will be built only on collaboration and contrast, rather than isolation and similarity.

Starting at the root of all things - people and their unique perspectives of themselves and others, Tedxcolombo 2018 will explore the caliber of collaborative ‘community’ we wish to create for the future of Sri Lanka through art, entertainment, science, language and technology.
2018’s line-up of speakers will share on the implications of behavior, the psychology of an aesthetic world, the fluidity of how we communicate and the power of storytelling to inspire, to trigger a calling for an entire country to unite through the power of unconventional perspectives and unrelenting passions, and to begin building the future we aspire to live in.
Reaching over 2000 people in the flesh, and many more through live stream pocket events, Tedxcolombo will enter its 7th year as one of Sri Lanka’s oldest and largest TEDX events.
