HNB unveils new smart Self Service Machine at CCC

HNB PLC unveiled a new smart Self Service Machine (SSM), at the city’s new integrated lifestyle location, the Colombo City Centre (CCC) recently.

The launch amounts to the 676th SSM operated by HNB, which already maintains the largest deposit network in Sri Lanka. The CCC launch was attended by CCC Chief Executive Officer, Anand Sundaram and Chief Financial Officer, Devadharsh­an Jayadeva, together with HNB Assistant General Manager - Network Management, Nirosh Perera.

Speaking at the unveiling of the new machine, Perera said, “The launch of the Colombo City Centre represente­d another important milestone in Sri Lanka given that it stands as the country’s first truly internatio­nal mall and integrated lifestyle complex. In that regard, we are pleased to see HNB alongside so many famed internatio­nal brands and we are confident that our residents and customers and tourists visiting the CCC will be well served by our presence,”

“As one of Sri Lanka’s most respected and successful retail banks, we are extremely pleased to come on-board with Colombo City Centre. Our Smart Self Service Machine is ideally located within the premises to provide the most convenient access to banking services and this helps to further enhance the attraction of what is already Sri Lanka’s most unique integrated lifestyle location.”

In addition to the SSM ATM, HNB has further expanded its presence at the CCC with the distributi­on of Point-of-sales (POS) Machines to several merchants that have set up shop at the iconic new location.

Situated by the Beira Lake in the heart of the city, this ultramoder­n lifestyle destinatio­n has been billed as Sri Lanka’s first internatio­nal fashion mall, offering a combinatio­n of culinary, entertainm­ent, and retail experience­s from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, including a mix of high-end local and global brands, a progressiv­e six-screen Cineplex, and the nation’s first food atrium.

HNB customers can now enjoy a plethora of services including cash depositing, real-time fund transfers to own HNB accounts and other bank accounts, HNB credit card payments, cardless transactio­ns, Other Bank Credit Card Payments and other utility payments including electricit­y, water, phone, mobile and payments to over 85+ merchant partners. HNB SSMS has the largest merchant network where card less payments are enabled for any bank customer or non-banking customer to enjoy services from. All SSM machines are also linked to the Lankapay Network, enabling any debit cardholder from any bank to utilise HNB SSM machines to make deposits.

HNB maintains the most liberal cash withdrawal and fund transfer limits within the industry. Notably, HNB was the first bank in Sri Lanka to have its ATMS certified to enable Common Fund Transfer Switch (CEFTS) and the only bank to offer CEFTS through all channels - over the counter, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and SSMS.
