Meet Snowy

- BY RIHAAB MOWLANA

Snowy was a very special gift for Zamrina from her husband, and so will always have a very special place in her heart. The aptly named Persian is a bundle of joy, who brings nothing but happiness into Zamrina's life.

Q HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR PET?

Birthday gift from my husband.

Q WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME YOU’VE GIVEN?

Snowy looks so white and pure the first thing that came to my mind was snow. So we named her Snowy.

Q WHAT ARE MEAL TIMES AND BATH TIMES LIKE?

Bath time - twice a month.

Meal time - morning fresh milk & pet biscuits.

Lunch time - steamed chicken

& fish, with fresh milk.

Dinner time - pet biscuits, fresh milk. She loves to eat ice cream & yoghurt.

Q WHAT’S HER FAVOURITE THING TO DO?

Her favourite thing to do is to hang on the curtains when there are people around - it seems as if she's trying to show off her skills.

Q HOW DOES SHE REACT WHEN YOU RETURN HOME?

She runs down to us from whereever she was previously and goes round our legs until we acknowledge her.

Q DOES SHE DO ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY THAT FASCINATES YOU?

The thing that fascinates me is how she gets me to play with her. She would initially bring a small ball and put it in front of me and expects me to throw it for her so she can bring it back to me. That way we have a bit of fun together playing throw and catch.

Q WHAT WAS THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT YOU’VE SHARED WITH YOUR PET?

We lost Snowy for a day. I even though that we had lost her completely and would never see her again. She showed up the next morning luckily, and the happiness I felt once I saw her again that morning was unforgettable.
