Asitha, Sihina put De Mazenod in command

De Mazenod’s right-arm pace combinatio­n of Asitha de Silva and Sihina Sithumina shared five wickets between them to have St. Peter’s College struggling at 24 for five in their first innings at the end of the first day’s play in the Under-19 Inter-schools Cricket Tournament encounter played at Bambalapit­iya yesterday.

Earlier, De Mazenod taking first lease of the wicket made a modest score of 163 runs with Santhush Gunatileke claiming a six-wicket haul.
