Group of students, an adult arrested for engaging in indecent activities

A group of students of a leading school in the Gampola education zone and a young man were arrested during a raid conducted in the Ambuluwawa area by the Gampola police for smoking Ganja while engaging in indecent sexual activities which were videoed by them.

The four schoolboys, dressed in school uniform, had played truant and gone to a secret location in the Ambuluwawa area with the young man. Police checked the camera phones of the suspects to find the indecent scenes that were recorded by them.

their parents while the young man, who had in his possession a stock of Ganja, was produced in court and remanded.

A senior police official said they had received information from the public that schoolchildren were often frequenting the jungle area to engage in indecent activities of this nature.
