V. Sivagnanasothy appointed as the Ministry Secretary of Resettlement and Rehabilitation
President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed V. Sivagnanasothy as the Secretary to Ministry of Resettlement, Rehabilitation, Northern Development and Hindu Religious Affairs on October 30, 2018, a statement said.
Mr.sivagnanasothy also serves as Secretary to the Presidential Task Force on Northern and Eastern Provinces Development.
Prior to this, he served as the Secretary to Ministry of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs, Secretary to Ministry of National Integration and Reconciliation, Secretary to Ministry of Prison Reforms, Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs, Secretary to Ministry of Plantation Infrastructure Development and Secretary to Ministry of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development of the Government of Sri Lanka.
Mr.sivagnanasothy assumed his duties on November 1,2018 in the Ministry of Resettlement, Rehabilitation, Northern Development and Hindu Religious Affairs in the presence of the Minister of Resettlement, Rehabilitation, Northern Development and Hindu Religious Affairs Douglas Devananda.
Mr.sivagnanasothy served as a Governing Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. Mr. Karder Masthan has been appointed as the Deputy Minister to this Ministry.
