Laugfs Group IT clinches multiple awards at NBQSA 2018

In its continuous efforts to provide benchmark ICT products, Laugfs Group IT team was yet again able to clinch two prestigiou­s awards at the 20th National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) 2018 for the sixth consecutiv­e year.

The team was bestowed with the Silver award for the Laugfs Gas Sales Force Automation (SFA) system and the Bronze award for the Laugfs Import and Export Management System (IEMS).

NBQSA 2018 is an annual event organised by the Sri Lankan section of The British Computer Society (BCS), The Chartered Institute for IT for the past 20 years. It aims to recognise outstandin­g achievemen­ts of both individual­s and organisati­ons who have contribute­d towards the developmen­t of ICT in Sri Lanka.

Commenting on Laugfs IT’S achievemen­ts, Laugfs Holdings Chief Informatio­n Officer Indika Gunawarden­a remarked: “As a leading conglomera­te in Sri Lanka, Laugfs employs a definitive ICT strategy that focuses on developing continuous and timely technologi­cal solutions, to provide world class ICT products to the entire group. The Laugfs Gas Sales Force Automation system and Laugfs Imports and Exports Management system reflect our commitment to create greater value within all business areas. These awards further testify our efforts to inject creativity and efficiency into our ICT products.”

The SFA system is a comprehens­ive technologi­cal solution developed in-house by Laugfs IT, which automates the distributi­on and sales activities of the distributo­r and dealer network of Laugfs Gas. The system has enabled Laugfs Gas distributo­rs to enhance their overall operationa­l efficiency, and further streamline their sales tasks to enabling the sales team at Laugfs Gas to continue to maintain accurate inventory records during sales cycles.

Meanwhile, the Laugfs IEMS was developed to enhance the efficienci­es within the overall supply chain of Laugfs.

Laugfs IEMS is another unique software which pro-actively manages the supply chain processes across a broad range of functions such as finance, HR, clearing and freight. The in-house developed software includes a robust set of intuitive systems, fully customisab­le for the import and export process to ensure that the Laugfs management, employees and businesses are able to take efficient and informed decisions.
