Dialog launches Yeheli.lk for women’s well-being

-

Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, has announced the launch of Yeheli.lk/thozhi.lk, an anonymous messaging platform that connects users with expert advice, available on web and Android app.

In simpler terms this platform digitally connects subject matter experts to user queries with an intelligent platform by Dialog.

The service is offered in collaboration with Women in Need, a leading organisation in the country committed to the elimination of all forms of violence against women and girls.

The Yeheli platform is powered by technology from Mayalogy Ltd, a Bangladeshbased technology company.

The localised web portal and Android app is available in English, Sinhala and Tamil for no cost and aspires to create a safe and trusted space for women to access necessary information and gain greater knowledge about their physical and emotional health, choices and opportunities.

Cultural restrictions prevent women from sharing healthrelated problems (particularly sexual and mental health) along with other issues such as domestic violence and cyber harassment.

Women and young adults can use the virtual space to discuss or learn about a range of sensitive topics that they might not feel comfortable with sharing. Yeheli.lk anonymously directs questions to a selected panel of qualified and experienced doctors, lawyers and counsellors, who provide answers and advice within a few hours.

Topics may range from medical, legal and sociopsychological to beauty and nutrition, whilst platforms such as Yeheli have proven to be successful in the South Asian region.

The Yeheli app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or by visiting https:// yeheli.lk/for web application.
