Billboard announced Tuesday that Ariana Grande will be honoured with Woman of the Year on December 6 at their 13th annual Women in Music dinner and awards gala in New York. The 25-year-old R&B songstress tweeted ‘thank u @billboard for this honour’ before urging the American fans within her 224M social media followers to ‘go vote.’ Throughout her career, the four-time Grammy nominee scored three number one albums on the Billboard 200 as well as 10 top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

Grande (born Butera) will join the esteemed ranks of previous Woman of the Year honourees Madonna, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez. Ariana’s milestone came moments before she debuted the lyric music video for her new single thank u, next - penned about her exes Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez, the late Mac Miller, and her ex-fiancé Pete Davidson. The Florida-born belter will then perform the song live this Wednesday on The Ellen Degeneres Show,tweeted the 60-year-old host. Congrats!
