HNB Netball Champions for the third successive time
Hatton National Bank (HNB) for the third time repeatedly won the Mercantile knock-out A Division Netball Tournament at the St. Joseph’s College Indoor Stadium, Maradana.
Prior to this HNB also won the Mixed Division.
The tournaments were conducted by the Mercantile Netball Association where 21 teams participated under five divisions.
The Divisions were: A, B, C, Mixed and Open Male.
The A Division was between HNB and Seylan where HNB triumphed 41-37. (Quarters 11-10,19-19, 26-29 and final score 41-37).
National Player Gyani Dissanayake of HNB was selected as the Netball Queen.
In the Mixed Division Final HNB beat Fair First 20-9. The B Division champions were Sampath Bank. In the C Division Omega Line emerged champions whilst in the Male Division Campbell SC were the champions. RESULTS:
