Northern Governor instructs education officials and principals
Northern Province Governor Reginald Coorey has instructed the provincial authorities not to effect transfers in the teaching service without replacements.
Relevant officials should ensure that shortage of teachers would not arise due transfers and also should not effect transfers without replacements on the interference of others, the Governor has further instructed.
Recruitment of diploma holders of higher technology education institutions for science, maths and English subjects and engaging volunteer teachers have also been stressed in the instructions.

“It is the responsibility of the principals to have a proper supervisions on educational matters and consider the possibility of sharing the facilities available in leading schools with the under- privileged schools,” the Governor instructed.
