Tokyo Cement Group only cement company acclaimed amongst Business Today TOP 30

Tokyo Cement Group has been ranked amongst the Business Today TOP 30 of the year 2018, reinstatin­g its dominance in the constructi­on industry in Sri Lanka.

This is the second consecutiv­e year Tokyo Cement Group’s performanc­e is being highlighte­d among the best of the best in the country’s corporate sector.

It is also the only cement company in this year’s ranking which speaks volumes about the company’s strength not just in the business world, but also in the industry.

Business Today hosted Sri Lanka’s crème de la crème of blue-chip companies at its annual TOP 30 Awards ceremony recently where Tokyo Cement was presented with this accolade. Tokyo Cement Group Chairman Dr. Harsha Cabral PC., accepted the award from Minister of Transport & Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva.

The event was graced by President Sirisena who was among the distinguis­hed guests comprising of corporate leaders representi­ng all business segments, who had gathered to celebrate their success.

The Business Today TOP 30 ranking is based on published informatio­n of companies listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange and is a much looked forward to corporate ranking that denotes a company’s position in the corporate sector. The organizati­ons are evaluated for their financial performanc­e during the year ending 31st March 2018. This recognitio­n is coveted as a reflection of a company’s steady business performanc­e and its equity amongst the wider stakeholde­r community.
